.Equality club members, remember we have a meeting this Wednesday in Mr. Silva’s room at lunch.  We welcome everyone.

 

Sam Trans Bus passes are now being sold in the health office for $22 for students who are currently on the free and reduced lunch program until today, February 6th.

 

THE LEO CLUB WILL BE SELLING CARNATIONS FOR VALENTINE’S DAY DURING LUNCH IN THE GREAT COURT .  FLOWERS ARE $1.50 EACH AND WILL BE DELIVERED TO YOUR SPECIAL PERSON DURING ADVISORY ON VALENTINE’S DAY.

 

Yogurtland in Burlingame on Primrose Road is looking for energetic students to work in their new store.  Must be 16 years of age...you can apply at the store or online at www.yogurtlandsb.com or see Mrs. Merport in the Career Center.

 

Hey everyone the cheerleaders are having an ice skating fundraiser at the ice chalet in the Bridgepoint shopping center in Foster City.  It’s on Saturday, February 11th from 8-10 p.m.  It’s only $12 per person so bring your friends and say you’re with Hillsdale High School.  The cheerleaders could really use your support.  Thanks a lot.  See you there.

 

Seniors:  There will be a financial aid workshop on Tuesday, February 7, 7-8:30 p.m. in Room 210.  If you haven't completed your FAFSA, please encourage your parents to attend.  Mrs. Merport will review all aspects of the application.  Also, remember to bring Mrs. Merport a copy so she

can check it

 

Interested in being a camp counselor for outdoor ed?  Please pick p an application in the Dance Room.  We are looking for 10 students for the following schools:  Brewer Island April 23-27, Audobon School May 7-11th, Tierra Linda Middle School February 27th – March 2nd.

 

Attention students!  It's that time of year again!  The annual Pops concert is coming up, and this year the theme is American music!  Come see a great show on February 10 in the South Gym, including music by Leonard Bernstein, Irving Berlin, and Lady Gaga!  Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults, and will be available at the door.  See you there!

Attention CSF members!  Now that you have received your grades for the fall semester, be sure to update your CSF membership by completing a new form with $2.00 and a transcript.  Remember, California Scholarship Federation is a state recognized honor society, which looks great on resumes and applications.  See Mr. Canda in the counseling office regarding any questions!

 

The Seville Student Activities Club will meet today February 1 at lunch in Room 245 to discuss the upcoming Valentines dance on February 11th.  See you there!

The introductory meeting for the Mouse Squad has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 2nd at lunch in room 226.  The purpose of this club is to develop skills in the area of technology while providing a valuable service for our school.  Please contact Mr. Zucker with any questions.

 

Seniors:  If you are planning to attend COLLEGE OF SAN MATEO, CANADA or SKYLINE in the fall, the reps will be here on Thursday during Tutorial in Room 210.  Please plan to attend this session as NEW ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES will be implemented for the 2012-2013 school year.   Remember:  if you want priority enrollment, you must follow the four step procedure.  After 2nd period report directly to Room 210….roll will be taken during the presentation.

Attention students!  Winter formal, the junior class fundraiser, is coming up on February 3, from 8 p.m. til midnight at the Crowne Plaza in Foster City.  Tickets will be on sale until this Friday for $20 with a PAL and $25 without.  Hope to see you there.

 

The 2011 Football Awards Ceremony will be on Saturday, January 28th at 7 p.m. in the small theater.  Please bring your families.  Coach Parodi.

 

If you are interested in the field of Diagnostic Medical Imaging Peninsula Medical Center in Burlingame is inviting you to attend an informational meeting on Saturday, January 28.  See Mrs. Merport in the Career Center for more information.

Attention all students interested in doing an internship as a class: You have the opportunity to sign up for an amazing internship for a letter grade by being a camp counselor at the MOSAIC PROJECT!  This is a fun and exciting week away in Napa with kids your own age mentoring middle school kids at camp.  The Mosaic Project works towards a peaceful future by reaching children in their formative years. IF you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, sign up for the workshop here on campus January 26th during Tutorial..Again, sign up to learn more about the Mosaic Project at Ms. Jackson's desk in the Career Center, for the work shop coming up on January 26th.

 

Are you interested in learning about computer technology while providing a valuable service for your school?  Come by our introductory meeting for the Hillsdale High School Mouse Squad on Thursday at lunch in room 226.  Members will have an opportunity to develop a variety of tech-related skills and to use them to support our school.  Please see Mr. Zucker with any questions.

 

Want to help children around the world play sports?  Come Thursday at lunch to Mr. LS’s room 119.
