Reminder:  For the last 6 weeks of school, truancy probation for seniors runs from Monday, April 9^th through Tuesday May 15^th.  Any senior who accumulates 4 or more unexcused period absences or 10 or more tardies during this time frame will NOT be allowed to participate in Senior Knight or Senior Day activities.  Please check your attendance regularly on School Loop, and be sure your parents/guardians clear any excused absences/tardies within 48 hours.

*Reserved Seats for Graduation-  If you are interested in getting information about Preferred Seating at this year's graduation, please send an email (Subject Line: Grad seats) to hillsdalefoundation@gmail.com.   A limited number of premium seats (and other graduation day perks for parents) will be made available through the Foundation for donors who prefer not to wait in line, and are willing to contribute to a great cause. 100% of the proceeds donated to HHSF (an IRS approved Public Charity) directly benefit Hillsdale High School and are tax deductible.

Good Evening Senior Parents,

As the end of the year draws ever closer, we have a couple of announcements for the class of 2012:

1) Yesterday Jostens was on campus to deliver graduation Caps and Gowns.  Students who did not pick them up on Monday can get them tomorrow, Wednesday, during Advisory.  Please contact Josten's directly with any questions.   (Info can be found on the Student Life- Seniors and Grads page of the website.)

2) Monday, May 7, is the absolute deadline for students to return any end-of-year senior activity forms, including the extra graduation ticket request form.  The first notification about extra tickets will be Monday, May 14.  Lists will be posted by student ID number outside the main office.

3) With only a few more weeks to go, lists are being compiled of students who are currently not passing classes required for graduation. Students MUST pass their required classes, including English and Government, in order to graduate. Letters will be sent home next week for any student possibly "in danger of failing" a required course.  Please check in with the teacher immediately if you have any specific concerns. 

4) Next Monday, May 7th, all seniors who still have an outstanding fine of any kind will be provided with a notice with a list of items and replacement cost. These must be returned or paid for before the student will receive graduation tickets or allowed to participate in the ceremony. Please check with your son or daughter to make sure that s/he has everything turned in.

Once again, the Senior calendar and other forms for school-sponsored graduation events are located on the Hillsdale website, hillsdalehigh.com. Go to Student Life and then Senior/Graduation Information.  There is also a link on the homepage. The deadline to return all graduation activity forms is Monday May 7th. If you have any questions, please contact your son or daughter's advisor.

"As requested at the Open House meeting last month, I am calling to notify you of 5 important announcements affecting the class of 2012.

1) Today all seniors with an outstanding book fine were provided a notice with a list of books and replacement cost. These must be returned or paid for before the student will receive graduation tickets or allowed to participate in the ceremony. Please check with your son or daughter to make sure that they have everything turned in.

2) Tomorrow, Thursday April 12, Jostens will be on campus at lunch to deliver pre-ordered graduation announcements and any other memorabilia. Please remind students to pick them up. [Caps and gowns will be delivered at the end of April.]

3) The 12-week grading period ended on Friday March 30. You should be receiving report cards this weekend. Students MUST pass their required classes, including English and Government, in order to graduate. Please check the report card carefully for any comments indicating "In danger of failing" and check in with the teacher immediately if you have any specific concerns. 

4) If your student missed the AP order deadline of March 30, late orders will be taken through this Friday, April 13. There is an additional late charge of $50 per test for those ordered now. No tests can be ordered after this Friday.
